Super Storm Alters Plans for East Coast Benefit
If the thunder don’t get you then the lightning will
Won’t you try just a little bit harder, couldn’t you try just a little bit more…
—”The Wheel,” Robert Hunter
The destruction wreaked by Super Storm Sandy has caused Hot Tuna and Rex to change our planned reception at the Beacon in New York City, which has become impractical in view of infrastructure issues, to a virtual fundraiser to help local area non-profits, including those assisting in storm relief efforts.
Given the enormous challenges to recover from the recent storms, the Rex Foundation and Hot Tuna are collaborating to encourage generous contributions for 100 premium seating concert tickets so that the proceeds can go directly as grants to local area grassroots programs serving the community and providing relief to those still suffering from the aftermath of the storms.
