NUBIAN VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT FUND (UPDATE)
In 2000, the Rex Foundation continued its committtment to village development in Nubia. The following letter from Nubiana Project Director, Hamza El Din, gives some of the background and intended outcomes of the program.
To the Rex Foundation:
I am writing to acknowledge receipt of $19,000, generously donated by the Rex Foundation to the Nubiana Fund. Unfortunately, because of personal reasons and a busy performance schedule, I have been unable to go to Egypt to see to its proper distribution. I hope to be visiting home soon, at which time I will determine the best uses to which the money can be put at the Toshka Elementary School. I am thinking now to try to support a music class, an English teacher who will also instruct in the use of the computers that we purchased, and a soccer team. I will keep you all informed of the projects that we elect to sponsor.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a healthy and prosperous new year and pray that Allah grant each and everyone of you the best of what you desire.

Hamza El Din
