Empowered by Light

Empowered by Light (EBL) is a non-profit dedicated to improving lives through renewable energy technologies. EBL was formed in 2011 by a group of individuals knowledgeable and passionate about clean, renewable energy and committed to proving to the world that developing countries can leapfrog decades of fossil fuel infrastructure development by using renewable energy today. Building on the success of powering schools across the Western Province of Zambia with donor funded solar lights and energy systems, Empowered by Light plans to design, build and test a new model that demonstrates the long term sustainability of solar powered micro grids in developing countries.
