Project Censored

PO Box 571 , Cotati, CA 94931

Project Censored is a media watchdog group that educates students and the public about the importance of a free press for democratic self-government. They expose and oppose news censorship and dig out the significant stories that are not being reported, due to the influence of powerful corporate advertisers, government pressure and information-withholding, and a lazy press that sometimes condescends to its reading and viewing public. They publish an annual book on each year’s overlooked or suppressed new stories, including their “Top 25 List” of censored stories, which receives widespread media coverage. An award-winning documentary film, Project Censored The Movie: Ending the Reign of Junk Food News, has toured communities across the nation.
