Rex Welcomes New Board Members
March 24, 2010
We are pleased and excited to announce the addition of the following three new members to our Board of Directors:
Dennis Alpert – A public affairs professional and a past senior staff member for Vice President Al Gore, Alpert brings to the board his vast experience in business communications and a deep commitment to corporate good. Throughout his career, Alpert has developed charitable contribution programs, paving the way for critical funding and programming opportunities to those in need.
Matt Butler – The founder and conductor of The Everyone Orchestra, Butler has been a longtime contributor to Rex events as well as many other benefit concerts. Butler has his finger on the pulse of the next generation and, as a board member, will infuse new awareness and participation with Rex.
Nadia Prescher – A founder of Madison House, Inc., a management and booking service with an eclectic musical roster, Prescher has spent her career supporting the success and health of musicians. Prescher’s marketing experience and connections within the music industry are great assets for exposure and audience growth.
We are thrilled to have Dennis, Nadia, and Matt joining our board as they each bring qualities, expertise, and unique inspiration that will bring the Rex Foundation to a new level of growth and giving.
With this added energy, we are busy planning our upcoming events and activities to pave the way for lots of grant making. We’re also preparing to expand The World As It Could Be Human Rights Education Project, building on the success of our pilot work in 2009. Check out our website to see recent updates, including my report on a recent visit to the Soul Food lunch program of Rex grantee Nextcourse.
Enjoy seeing what your contributions make possible. Thank you for your involvement and support.
