Dark Star Orchestra played its first Rex benefit in April 2002.  Continuing from there, the Rex Foundation presented the first Black Tie-Dye Ball in Chicago in March 2004 with Dark Star Orchestra.  Since then, there have been Black Tie-Dye Balls in New York City, Washington, D.C., Denver, Colorado, Los Angeles, Portland and San Francisco.  These festive occasions provide the opportunity to collaborate with gifted performers that care about the Rex Foundation.

The April 7th Black Tie-Dye Ball helps celebrate over nine years of connection between Dark Star Orchestra and the Rex Foundation.  We thank DSO for their steadfast and generous support.  Together, with all DSO fans, we demonstrate the power of the musical community to provide essential seed grants to smaller non-profits doing great work in many different ways.

Thank you for your support.  We look forward to seeing you on April 7th.
