Awesome Night at Wrigley Field!
Thanks to the Chicago Cubs for an incredible evening at Wrigley Field on Monday, August 27, celebrating the Grateful Dead, supporting Rex, and gathering folks for a real good time! It was the first-ever Grateful Dead night at this historic ball park, and we were thrilled to be part of it.
The people who scored a commemorative cap with their special event ticket were also thrilled.
Before the game in Gallagher Way, the open-air destination located adjacent to the ballpark on Clark Street, local favorites Mr. Blotto played for early arriving fans, performing an acoustic set covering Grateful Dead songs and more.
A portion of each ticket’s sale price went to support the Rex Foundation’s work. In making the donation, the Cubs cited Rex’s support of the Mariachi Heritage Foundation’s effort to expand their mariachi music program at Chicago’s Northwest Middle School. Rex’s 2017 Jerry Garcia Award allowed the MHF to expand their in-school, standards-based program as part of the general school day.
