We look forward to a fabulous night of music with Melvin Seals and JGB in the intimate surroundings of The Fillmore. A powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years as a performer, recording artist and producer, Melvin is most revered for his powerful, high-spirited, Hammond B-3 organ, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band, where he spun his magic for 18 years. Melvin and JGB — John Kadlecik on guitar and vocals, John-Paul McLean on bass, and Jeremy Hoenig on drums — bring an intuitive, expressive style, soul, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table. Their chemistry is the focus from which they create a spontaneous, exciting, often psychedelic musical journey. We can’t wait!

Adding some additional spice will be our much beloved friend Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz and Scott Law, who have both been part of past Rex events. Their talent is apparent from the first note, and joining their duo for the evening is special guest Vicki Randle. Vicki is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. She has performed with many notable musicians, and may be best known as the first permanent female member of The Tonight Show Band.

We will be limiting the capacity to tables to ensure comfortable distancing. This will also allow us to open a new limited seating section in the balcony on stage right (these seats will offer an incredible view of the stage). We are also introducing a new online ticketing process that will make the purchasing of table seats much more efficient and convenient.

All tickets include our pre-show reception with gourmet food, wine from our friends at Silver Oak, Twomey and 1600 Wineries, as well as a selection of locally brewed beer. We are especially looking forward to this aspect of our gathering as we all get a long overdue chance to reconnect with one another.
