KXSF Supporting Backline Supporting Musicians
Synergy is good. We love it when we hear about our grantees doing great work. If possible, we love it even more when we hear about them figuring out creative ways to get even more great work done.
In this case, grantee KXSF-102.5 FM in San Francisco, a beacon of community and independent radio, is launching a series of public service announcements spotlighting the work of grantee Backline, which connects music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources.
With the pandemic hitting Bay Area artists and crew especially hard, getting the word out about available support to those who need it is vital, and KXSF is ideally situated to reach that audience. Said KXSF: “Backline streamlines access to a network of trusted organizations and care providers that understand the unique challenges of working in the music business. KXSF will be launching a PSA campaign in February aimed directly at Bay Area music professionals in need of some extra help in these challenging times.”
