Spay Neuter Action Project (SNAP)
SNAP’s mission is to achieve zero euthanasia of adoptable and treatable pets through prevention by providing public awareness, educational materials, affordable spay/neuter procedures and subsidies when qualified. Low-cost spay/neuter services are provided in a state of the art mobile surgical unit, the Neuter Scooter. Many callers are referred to veterinarians in their neighborhood who offer reduced rate spay/neuter services. Those who cannot afford even the reduced rate services receive an appointment on the Neuter Scooter. The goal is to make spay/neuter affordable for everyone. In addition to spaying and neutering, SNAP facilitates responsible pet ownership by providing free health exams, nail trims, ID tags, vaccinations and licenses for dogs and cats.
