The Center for Youth Development through Law (CYDL) prepares youth from disadvantaged East Bay communities for higher education, fulfilling careers, civic engagement and leadership.  Our programs challenge students to meet high expectations, while providing structures and support that enable them to rise to those expectations.
In the upcoming summer of 2022, we will provide our Summer Legal Fellowship Program, a comprehensive two-month program including paid, professional internships, empowering legal instruction, career and college development activities, activities fostering leadership and civic engagement, and mentoring.  Youth who complete this two-month program will be provided with follow-up educational and career mentoring.  In the upcoming school year, we will provide our after-school Mock Trial program to youth in Richmond, California.
